Natalie Sheehan is a social studies teacher based in Issaquah, Washington. She currently lives in Auburn with her fiance, Allen, and her chihuahua/border terrier mix, Munchkin (pictured is her cat, Clausewitz, who now lives in California). She studied 20th century military and diplomatic history at Reed College in Portland, OR, and was graduated in 2010 with a BA in History and a minor in Political Science. She earned her teaching credential and Masters in Education in 2014 at Portland State University. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescent-Young Adult Social Studies. This is her sixth year as a teacher, and her fourth year at Issaquah High School.
In her personal life, Ms. Sheehan spends her time listening to and making music (piano, voice), reading as much as she can get her hands on (especially fantasy, sci-fi, and history), baking and cooking, knitting and quilting, writing, walking, biking, competing in agility trials with her dog, watching TV and movies, thinking about the Treaty of Versailles and World War I, and compulsively dying her hair.
