Here's What to Do When You're Unhappy With Your Grade:
- Remember, your grade in this class is 70% Assessments (quizzes, tests, writing, projects), 20% Assignments (binder checks, classwork), and 10% Semester Final. That means if your grade is low, you should focus on making up or redoing ASSESSMENTS first. If you have maximized your grade in assessments, THEN focus on making up Binder Checks and other Assignment items.
- Maximizing Your Assessment Grade for the current quarter:
- Make up missing assessments: check in with Ms. Sheehan and arrange a time (Nest, after school, before school Wednesdays) to make up missing quizzes or tests. If a writing assignment is missing, complete as much as you can and email it to Ms. Sheehan at [email protected].
- Complete corrections for low Quiz grades. See the Quiz Corrections page for instructions.
- Edit and rewrite writing assessments. Turn in to the in-class turn in box.
- Redo or make up in class projects. Check in with Ms. Sheehan about what you need to do.
