As you know, the activities I'm posting here are NOT due or included in the grade. The activities are for maintaining your skills and knowledge. It's recommended you participate in these activities so we can quickly get back to graded work when we return to school. For the few who may not be able to complete this, I will not rely on this as foundational knowledge when we return to school without giving you an opportunity to catch up.
This week you will continue to examine life during World War II, with an emphasis on what was happening on the "homefront."
Activity 1: Read and take notes on Chapter 35.1-35.8 in the textbook (do this like homework notes!).
Activity 2: Examine life on the homefront for various groups of Americans. Follow the instructions on the WWII: Homefront Worksheet to answer the questions for each of the three groups.
Activity 3: Understand and examine why the US government interned Japanese-Americans during the War. Use the PowerPoint for both overview information and instructions for using the documents.
Activity 4: Watch the Crash Course linked below and make a list of 6-12 ways the US or Americans changed because of World War II. When you finish the video, write a couple of sentences that explain how Americans saw themselves because of WWII.
